Extra large Milk Gourd, Maasai tribe, Kenya. The leather handle is damaged apart from that, it is in good condition. Made from calabash, glass beads and leather. This was part of the collection of Ben Hunter, a very renowned dealer, who is a regular participant at the prestigious Parcours des Mondes, the leading International Tribal Art Fair in Paris.

A pair of Mortar and Pestle, Sidamo, Gurage area, Ethiopia. These rare mortars and pestles were used for grinding coffee, spices, herbs and grains. The wooden mortar is beautifully decorated in vertical lines and geometric patterns. They have wonderful dark brown patina and visible cracks, which are common features of antique wooden products that reflect their history and design. This piece was part of the collection of Bryan Reeves of Tribal Gathering London. Bryan Reeves is a renowned tribal art dealer, who is a participant in most of the International Tribal Art Fairs.
